In 1980, in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, Dr. Kailash Goenka began his entrepreneurial journey with a single specialty South Indian restaurant called Sankalp. What started as a modest venture has now grown into an internationally recognized business empire, thanks to his vision, determination, and passion for quality.

Visionary Leadership: Beyond the Plate

As Chairman and Managing Director of the Sankalp Group, Dr. Goenka led the company from a single restaurant to a global brand with over 250 restaurants across India, the USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, and more. His expansion wasn’t limited to food alone—he successfully diversified into hospitality, packaged foods, manufacturing, infrastructure, and real estate.

Some key milestones include the launch of Ramada Hotels in Ahmedabad (2010), Ramada Encore near the Statue of Unity (2019), and partnerships with IHCL to introduce Taj Skyline and Taj Gandhinagar Resort & Spa. He also brought Comfort Inn to Kevadiya in 2023, further strengthening his foothold in hospitality.

In 2015, Dr. Kailash Goenka launched Sankalp Packaged Foods, offering over 120 innovative ready-to-cook and frozen food products. These are now available in domestic and international markets, known for their taste, hygiene, and consistency.
